My Blog Disclaimer

After thinking about this blog, I thought it might be helpful to share my opinions and such about my past, current and future posts with past, current and future readers of this blog in the form of a "disclaimer." I mention "this" blog instead of "my" blog because I've noticed some of the better blogs on the web don't necessarily belong to the blogger. The better blogs also belong to the other people who contribute to it as well.

First, I want to be clear that the methods I use and/or present here are by no means the only method, nor are they necessarily the "best" method(s) to achieve the desired end-goal(s) when programming in ColdFusion. In fact, one or more of my methods could possibly be construed by some to be the "wrong" way (obviously I hope this would not be the case, but am open to criticism).

This statement applies to anything I work on in ColdFusion, from code-snippets to entire projects. Because there are just so many ways and techniques one could utilize to arrive at (virtually) the same end (using most any kind of programming language), it's often difficult to determine the "best" method. When possible, I try to utilize the more "elegant" method. {Elegant meaning a) least amount of code while b) maintaining readability and c) maintaining extensibility}

All of this being said (or written actually), I expect to blog about various ColdFusion topics and issues in hopes that the greater ColdFusion development community would contribute and even enhance the items I bring forward. So … any questions? Thoughts? Additions?
