Catch My BFusion Presentations on CFMeetup!
I received confirmation from Charlie Arehart, the online ColdFusion Meetup organizer, that I'll be giving both of my BFusion presentations on CFMeetup. So the good news is if you won't be able to attend BFusion/BFlex this year, then at least you'll still be able to see my presentations. However, they won't be "hands-on," which will hopefully allow me to trim my 90-minute presentations down to the typical 60-minute mark we've grown accustomed to on CFMeetup.
So, if you're interested, please mark your calendars!

by the way, i just got interested with using mura... would you recommend a good hosting company for mura.. ? thanks..
take care
The presentations will be recorded live on CFMeetup on November 12th and December 3rd.
As for hosting, I personally use CrystalTech (http://crystaltech.com/) and am also looking at Hostek (http://hostek.com/). I've used others (HostMySite, et. al.) over the years as well. If you have the resources, a dedicated or even a VPS (virtual private server) can really make a big difference in reliability.
I understand why so many of us need to use shared hosting environments (mainly pricing issues), but it really does stink being at the mercy of all the other site owners, etc.
Just keep in mind that wherever you host your site, you'll want to make sure you have access to a reliable database server, mail server, etc.
Also, Mura (like any other CMS), would need full read, write, delete access to the file system and database. A few features may not work depending on the shared environments too ... for example, CystalTech does not allow the CFSchedule tag to be executed, but you can create your own scheduled tasks via their site admin area.
i see.... thanks for the information, on hosting, yeah price is the main issue *sigh*...
by the way i just installed mura yesterday following your installation demo. the demo is very helpful... thank you..
