Learn Mura CMS at RIAUnleashed Boston 2010

I recently found out that I will be presenting Learn How to Build a Website in Mura CMS in 2 Hours or Less at RIAUnleashed Boston 2010. The session appears to be slated for the afternoon of Thursday, November 11th. So if you want to get your hands on Mura CMS and grab some basic skills to get up and running, bring your laptop and stop on by.

Pre-Requisites

Because this is intended to be a hands-on session, having Mura installed and running on your laptop is highly recommended. We'll be covering the install process briefly for those who do not have access to a local working environment, but we won't be able to spend any time troubleshooting if issues arise.

Hey Steve!
I'll be taking a different workshop, but it will be great to see you in Boston and hang out again. For anyone who wants to learn Mura, this is the workshop to go to and Steve is the MAN!

Make sure it isn't Mura Express either :)

@Clinton,
Hey, what's up! Yeah, that's definitely true especially for the week long stuff, but for this session, if someone only has Mura Express, they should be able to suffer through ;)

Hey Steve,

Loved the class! One thing, how dod we add the jQuery slider on the home page. I am trying to trudge through it now, and I thought it was a portal but I can't seem to make it work.

Thanks!

Seth

@Seth,
You're probably better off asking in the Mura support forum for that. Here's a thread which you might find useful:

Ah cool, no problem. But isn't that thread I linked to about using the slideshow feature in the Merced theme (which I assumed was jQuery -- I havent' used it yet myself) the same thing? Is there another jQuery slideshow feature of Mura I don't know about?

Tony,

Steve did help me out on the same topic, your post is exactly what I was looking for as well!

Thank you!
